As their business expanded, they found many new retail customers wanting their terrific product on tap. Artie, an accomplished woodworker himself, made some great tap handles but was not able to keep up with the demand. They went to social media and sent out a call for local woodworkers. Seeing their post, I contacted them, and the rest was history.
Artie and Robin wanted handles that reflected their brand. Taking their original handle design, we tweaked it a bit and came up with an eye catching design. The handles are made of maple and are dyed yellow, red, green, blue, and purple to reflect their kombucha.
John and Michelle own Wilmington Brewing Company in Wilmington NC. The brewery started off as a small homebrew shop before moving into their current 11,800 sqft facility where they still cater to the thriving Wilmington homebrewing scene but now brew fantastic beer on their 3bbl and 25 bbl systems.
Their beer can not only be found in their family-friendly taproom but at fine establishments throughout Wilmington. Initially, the brewery made their tap handles. As their distribution widened, and the need for more tap handles became apparent, they decided it was a great time to get a handle that would satisfy their requirements and promote their brand even further.
Working together, we came up with a design that showcased their great logo, reflected their new design elements found in their cans, and played tribute to the coastal community that they call home.
The handles are made of hard maple and feature a versatile placard system that will allow for future promotion of different offerings.
